Why the bank account is rejected
If the bank account you provided in your application gets rejected, it’ll be for one of the following reasons:Â
1. Incorrect bank detailsÂ
For example, the bank isn’t accepted in the franchisee’s country or the bank name doesn’t match the one on the submitted document.
2. Bank details and submitted document don’t matchÂ
For example, the name or account number you included in your application doesn’t exactly match the document you submitted.
Note: There are exceptions regarding the name that appears on bank documents:
DBA name: You can use your Doing Business As (DBA) name instead of your legal entity name on bank documents. However, you must provide proof that the DBA name is connected to the legal entity.
Business acronyms: The presence or absence of acronyms indicating the type of business (such as "LLC" or "PTY LTD") does not invalidate the check.
Name abbreviations: Simple name abbreviations are acceptable. For example, using "Mike" instead of "Michael" is permitted.
3. The submitted bank document doesn’t meet requirementsÂ
The account holder name or account number isn’t visible on the document.Â
The document is either older than 12 months, or doesn’t have a date altogether.Â
The document doesn’t show an official logo, stamp, or signature of the bank.
The document contains sensitive information such as photos of bank cards.
The document isn’t accepted by Adyen. We accept:
Bank statements
Bank-issued communication
Online interfaces of a banking environment (screenshot or photo)
Cheques, including security features
Deposit tickets
Direct deposit forms (can only be accepted with a stamp or signature from the bank)
