What does verificationStatus: Pending means when I try to add a new payment method to a store?

When you add payment methods to a store or sub-merchant via the /paymentMethodSettings API, you might receive the responseCode: verificationStatus: pending. This response indicates that capabilities are pending on the accountHolder.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Log into the Customer Area
  2. Search for the accountHolder
  3. Check pending or invalid capabilities.
  4. In case capabilities are invalid, ask the sub-merchant to provide valid data. If the capabilities are in Manual Review, our KYC team has to review the documents provided by the sub-merchant. The KYC team will review the data within 48 hours.Â
