Why are certain field values masked in the API logs?

Please check whether you have the following user role:

  • Merchant Technical Integrator

Access your API logs effortlessly through our self-service feature.

Head to the Customer Area and navigate to the Developers section in the left navigation menu.

Under Developers, you'll find the API logs, where you can browse logs of your integration from the past 7 days. (Developers -> API logs).

API requests may contain sensitive information based on the integration type. This can include details such as:

  • API Key value
  • Payment method information (e.g., card number, cardholder name)
  • Specific reference field values (e.g., acquirerReference, networkTxReference).

To enhance security and promote a seamless troubleshooting experience, Adyen masks sensitive information in API logs.

When processing an API request, Adyen carefully reviews each field in the request schema to identify and mask any sensitive data.

By hiding this data, Adyen ensures that technical users managing integrations can confidently utilize API logs while maintaining the highest level of data protection.
