What are ShopperDNA rules?

ShopperDNA is a transaction linking algorithm that bundles payments made by the same shopper on your company account.

Once the ShopperDNA is created and updated in real time, you are able to detect suspicious behaviour based on the threshold that is set in your ShopperDNA risk rules.

This allows you to distinguish between suspicious and legitimate shopper profiles.

For example, if you don’t want to accept a shopper that used more than five distinct credit cards in a timeframe of 30 days, you can block this scenario using the appropriate ShopperDNA rule. You can find more examples of ShopperDNA rules on Adyen Docs.
