How to schedule software updates to your terminal fleet
This video explains how to schedule software updates to your terminal fleet. Learn what to check before reaching out to customer support.
Let’s have a look at how to schedule and view software updates for your terminals in your Customer Area.
Under the ‘’In-Person Payment’’ tab you can find ‘’Terminal Software’’. This is where you can schedule updates.
To start a new update, select ‘’Schedule update’’. Here you can find an overview of terminal families and models present in your fleet.
Select the software version you want to update to. Go to the release note hyperlinks for more information on the software versions.
You can select and deselect the terminal models you want to update.
Depending on your use case, you can choose between three rollout options: 1) Pilot a new software version for up to 20 terminals. 2) Choose our recommended rollout with 3 optimized incremental batches that we’ve designed for you. 3) Lastly, you can choose to design your own batches.
Based on certain criteria, you can create up to 10 batches. You can apply filters to narrow down your search and create batches accordingly. You can also copy and paste a comma-separated list of terminal IDs in the search bar and add those to a batch.
When you finish designing your batches, you can add the remaining terminals to the last batch.
As a final step, you can select the days you want each terminal batch to update. For LIVE terminals, you can only schedule updates from two business days ahead. We recommend you to schedule your batches with seven days between each. This makes it easier to monitor your updates.
Once you’ve submitted your update, our support team will validate your scheduled version and batches within two business days. If for any reason your updates don't get approved, we will send you an email with feedback, which you can apply to reschedule your update.
Don’t forget to change the default version of your terminals on the ‘’default version page’’ to ensure all newly boarded terminals update to the new version.
