Can I use 3DS with recurring transactions?

For Subscription and UnscheduledCardOnFile transactions, the shopper is not present, and therefore the shopper cannot complete the additional authentication layer. This means that for these type of transactions 3DS is not possible, and a liability shift cannot occur.

For CardOnFile recurring payments, where the shopper is present, it is possible to use 3DS.
