Incorrect account details

When a payout is returned to Adyen and applied to your payable balance, it means there are some incorrect details on the bank account added in your Customer Area.

Check your account details

  1. Log in to your live Customer Area.
  2. Select the preferred merchant account.
  3. Go to Finance > Payout accounts.
If you see incorrect details, please update your account details.

Blocked payouts

When payouts to (one of) your bank accounts was returned to Adyen 3 times, we’ll block your payout account, with the reason code Payouts failed multiple times to avoid any unnecessary banking fees being applied to your future returned payouts.

You’ll recognize a blocked payout account by balance transfers taking place in your batches instead of merchant payouts. To see the reason for the balance transfer, please check your system messages.

Tip: To unblock your account contact support.
