How do I enable/disable 3D Secure?

How to set up Dynamic 3D Secure

We start by logging to the customer area.

Then select risk.

Under risk, click on dynamic 3D secure.

And then “create new rule”.

Now, you can select the conditions for which this rule applies, such as the issuer country, shopper country, payment method, device type, transaction amount, risk score, BIN or any other risk checks available under your risk profile.

For example here we might set a rule that will be triggered for any transaction that is less than 20 euro.

You then select to either always trigger or not to trigger."

For ‘always’ - Adyen will trigger 3DS when applicable.

If the “Prefer not” option is checked, Adyen will only trigger 3D Secure when we estimate it is mandatory."

Next, You should name your rule and click save.

The 3D Secure rules use a priority logic to action or not to action 3DS.

Set your priority by moving the most important rules to the top.

And then click save.
