Can I use Protect for in-person payments?

You can use Protect to minimize fraud by applying risk rules before processing a transaction. However, you don’t need to use the risk engine for most in-person payments as fraud risk is significantly lower than for ecommerce, and most risk rules don’t apply.

When you turn on the risk management system, the company's default risk profile applies. Many of its rules aren’t suitable for in-person payments.
