Why was a payment allowed by Control Traffic?

A small percentage of transactions will be allowed by the risk engine regardless of the risk result. Doing so allows the risk engine to learn whether the block would result in a true positive (blocking a fraudster) or a false positive (blocking a genuine shopper).

Control traffic is part of our effort to continuously improve our risk engine and is an industry-standard practice. While it allows our machine learning model to have a complete picture of the data, it does from time to time mean that a fraudulent transaction will be allowed because of control traffic. As the percentage of traffic sent to control is so low, it should not create significant fraud problems for you.
