There are two reasons why you might not receive a one-time password (OTP) during authentication with an Adyen issued card.

  1. The phone number you provided is formatted incorrectly. Please check whether you’ve provided the correctly formatted mobile phone number associated with the payment instrument, and update the details if needed.
  2. A limitation of a cellular phone/connection provider. Some mobile carriers or countries have rules that may prevent the user from receiving the SMS. Please reach out to your mobile carrier first. And if the issue persists, please reach out to Adyen Support.
