How to use each financial report
There are five different types of reports and dashboards. Here’s how you can use each:Â
Settlement Detail Report: This report is automatically generated and contains all balance level adjustments of a single batch — such as settlements, refunds or fees. Every batch has a corresponding report, and the number of days encompassed in one batch is dependent on your payout schedule (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly).
Aggregate Settlement: This report aggregates all balance level adjustments over a selected period of time. You can use it to see fees, settlements and refunds. Once you download and open the report, use the column ‘Journal Type’ to filter with ‘Fee’, ‘MerchantPayout’, ‘Settled’, ‘Refunded’. This report is similar to your Settlement Details, but lets you choose a specific date range and aggregates the data based on payment method, day, and journal type.
Interactive Payment Accounting Report: This report lists payment status changes, events, and modifications for all transactions. You can use this report to match the costs of your transactions, and examine the costs associated with different statuses. .Â
Invoices: An invoice from Adyen details the costs incurred during a specific month. It provides a breakdown of the total amount of the invoice, along with deductions, and money still owed. At the bottom of your invoice, you can find the amount due, corresponding to the difference between the total invoiced amount and the amount that was already deducted from your settlements.
Sales and Payout Dashboard: This dashboard provides an overview of your gross sales and refunds, and compares it with the payout you received. It also shows any fees taken out, along with other adjustments.Â
Note: Report data is only searchable for the previous two years. To learn how to download each report and dashboard, read our guide.Â
