They are contracted by an acquirer to perform all or some of the following actions on behalf of the acquirer: <ul><li>Onboard merchants</li><li>Process transactions under an aggregated identifier</li><li>Settle transactions and ensure payouts to the merchants</li></ul> The following are examples of aggregators: <ul><li>Bill payment providers</li><li>Digital Wallet operators</li><li>Marketplaces</li><li>Payment facilitators</li></ul></body></html>

An aggregator is an intermediary between a merchant and an acquirer. They are contracted by an acquirer to perform all or some of the following actions on behalf of the acquirer:

Onboard merchants
Process transactions under an aggregated identifier
Settle transactions and ensure payouts to the merchants

The following are examples of aggregators:

Bill payment providers
Digital Wallet operators
Marketplaces
Payment facilitators
