API requests may contain sensitive information, such as:

  • API Key value
  • Payment method information (e.g., card number, cardholder name)
  • Specific reference field values (e.g., acquirerReference, networkTxReference).

To enhance security and promote a seamless troubleshooting experience, Adyen masks sensitive information in API logs.

When processing an API request, Adyen carefully reviews each field in the request schema to identify and mask any sensitive data. By masking this data, Adyen ensures that technical users managing integrations can confidently utilize API logs while maintaining the highest level of data protection.
