What is the franchise migration file?

The franchise migration file

The franchise migration spreadsheet contains information on the stores that will be boarded and is provided by the franchisor.

Information it contains:

• Legal entity name
• Store address
• Owner’s email address

It’s important to provide accurate information with this file, as we import it to our systems and use it to prefill application forms for you and send invitation links.

The branching functionality

When multiple stores are owned by one legal entity you can use the branching functionality.

If this is the case, you’ll receive an invitation link where you can enter the required information to be screened by Adyen once submitted.

Note: Our team will choose the first store listed in the migration file to create the first merchant account.

After a successful screening

When the screening is successful and the account is ready to go live, our system will create the additional merchant accounts. Each of these additional merchant accounts will hold 1 store under it, but will have the same legal entity details as the store from the application you already filled in. You won't have to enter the same details in the application again.

This way we create a fast and uncomplicated onboarding process and you can have one different payout account per store.

Note: This isn’t possible when all stores are under the same merchant account.
