What are the verification requirements?

Verification requirements

As payment industry regulations require, Adyen has to verify the identity of its account holders. Information from the account holder is required to run these verification checks. The information needed depends on the account holder’s legal entity type and the country/region they operate in.

Valid/Invalid Data status

Information on the status of an account holder’s verification check can be found through the following methods:

  • Listening to the Account holder verification notification that  Adyen sends to inform the platform on the results of a verification check.
  • Performing a /getAccountHolder request. The response of this request returns a verification object which provides more information on the results of a verification check.
  • Checking the account holder details page in the Balance Platform Customer Area.
