Adyen’s unique offering allows us to manage relations with payment method partners on behalf of you using one merchant contract. This is why you don’t need separate payment method credentials for most payment methods.

Naturally, there are exceptions to the rule. Examples where you do need access to a partner’s environment include Klarna, PayPal, gift cards, and any other payment method where Adyen is not the acquirer.
